A Young Woman Engages In Abusive Drinking And Finds Superior Help At An Alcohol Rehab Center For Symptoms Of Alcohol Withdrawal And Symptoms Of Alcoholism

Beth was the mother of four children. Beth had been feeling very stressed out lately and started to "medicate" herself by having three or four glasses of wine each night after she tucked her children into bed. After about three weeks of this drinking routine, she at last comprehended the fact that instead of helping her calm down and cope with her problems, drinking alcohol made her feel more restless when she awakened. This, in turn, made her feel increasingly more stressed all through the day.

After thinking about her predicament for three or four weeks, Beth made up her mind to talk about her problem drinking with her best friend. In fact, approximately ten minutes into their conversation, Beth's friend Brooke, told her that she knew about an extremely experienced and helpful doctor at the local drug and alcohol abuse treatment center. After talking to her best friend, Beth without delay got motivated to call the treatment center and make an appointment.

Twelve days later she eventually got to meet the physician her friend had talked about. After their short introduction, Beth explained to the physician that ever since she and her husband got divorced, she has been having a very hard time psychologically, financially, and spiritually.

As Beth was talking to the physician, she emphasized the point that she really thought that she and her former husband dated long enough to know each other well enough before they got married. After the kids started to arrive, to the contrary, their lives seemed to fall apart. To make mattes even worse, both she and Robert started to drink, and their alcohol abuse adversely impacted their love for one another, their finances, and their relationship.

The physician explained to Beth that the alcohol poisoning symptoms she has been experiencing are due to her careless drinking. The psychiatrist also told Beth that her alcohol withdrawal symptoms are some of the typical symptoms of alcoholism and that the most productive solution for this is alcohol rehab.

After spending two months in residential alcohol treatment, Beth was little by little able to see that the real cause of her stress and her depression was the fact that she had not worked through her bitter feelings she has expressed for her former husband who divorced her. In a word, Beth let these feelings upset her so much that she became an alcohol dependent person.

Armed with these insights and with the medications her doctor prescribed, she finally refrained from drinking, she started to feel substantially less depressed, and she started scheduling time for social activities with her family and friends. What is more, a few months after getting treatment from her physician, she even started to date once again.

It was clear that Beth had certainly come a long way. Indeed, just around five months after she completed her therapy, she had finally laid the harmful emotions of her former husband to rest and was beginning to feel more self respect and more spiritually "sound" and psychologically "together" than she had ever felt in her life.
